Macros in Access (Office xp)

I am trying to migrate a macro that works in Access 97 to
Access for Office XP, but it will not run. It is a very
short macro to open the "find" dialog box, with the
requirements set as I want them.

My old macro in Access 97 opened the box, and then used a
sendkeys statement (with several TABs in it) to set the
paraments how I wanted it (search current field, start of
field etc) and set the cursor in the box for the surname.

The sendkeys statement just does not seem to work in XP.
Any ideas, pleaee, anyone...??
