Mail DB keeps getting corrupted

Every 2 or 3 weeks, for no apparent reason my mail DB gets corrupted. I use
the DB utility to fix and rebuild it, it says it's ok but then after
Entourage starts it complains that the Db is corrupted and starts the DB
utility again. Fortunately I use most of the times hotmail, so restoring an
old backup copy of the DB Entourage works again synchronizing with hotmail.
Is there any tool/trick that fixes the DB for good?

it is possible that the rebuild is only fixes some f the poblems, not
all of them.

try exporting your data, starting a new identity and importing all the
stuff again. It is an absolute pain having to recreate the accounts,
rules, categories etc; but often it is the only way to get things back
on an even keel again.

We've seen many reports of Entourage 2008 databases that imported data
report corruption. If you export your data into a new Entourage 2008
Identity, you will find it extremely stable. Follow the steps here. I
suggest the Entourage archive (.rge) as the easiest.

to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

It explains how to move the Rules & Sigs file without having to recreate.
You do have to reset folders, but that's much easier than starting from
scratch.

Take screenshots of your accounts.
