Unexpectedly email form the Microsoft Exchange Server was no longer showing
up in the Exchange inbox - it was found in the local Entourage inbox
instead. This happened after several weeks of normal use. Have searched the
settings for an option to turn this off - any ideas?

Check the rules and the mailing list manager,
When you rebuild the database, they get confused and redirect all
filters to the default location they can find.

I had this same issue and it drove me nuts for some time. Somewhere along the line, you must have identified a message in your Junk Mail folder as "Not Junk" and selected an option that created this rule in your Mailing List Manager. Instead of just diverting the message you indicated, it redirects ALL messages to your inbox folder. Just remove the rule in the Mailing List Manager and all should be well.
