Mail Disappears?

Exchange 2000 / Outlook XP / Windows 2000

Weird one. Some of our users see email arrive in their inbox then it
disappears. We have checked the obvious stuff - no PST - no filtered views -
no rules - no junk filtering on - not in the deleted folder. The dang thing
is GONE. Any ideas at all? Don't even know where to start now that knowledge
returned "Shrug"

This is a long shot, but by any chance are these users sorting their Inbox
folders on the Icon field?
