mail error - help ! iwth apple mac 10.4.5 and entourage 10.1.4

hi

i am using a apple mac with system softtware " 10.4.5 and entourage
vers : 10-.1.4

i have searched the database of info on my mail error but cant find a
alternative solution to my problem

the issue is that i have a curuption of some sort - this is leading to
e-mails being greyed out and then complete folders (mainly my in box)
being greyed out

on one e-mail which i cannot delete it also quits when i try to click
on it or delete it

i have tried the standard and advanced rebuild but it sometime goes
through and nothing is improved, it does not complete it or it
completes but states it cannot do it and the database is dmaged

(a) are there any other actions i can take

(b) if i reinstall will it wipe my database or 30,000 e-mails !

You don't need to reinstall Entourage. It's your database that is damaged.
While you can still open Entourage you need to export all your messages and
contacts. Create a new Identity in Entourage and import your messages and
contacts.
