mail in "folder on my computer" still on server

Even though I am regularly moving nearly everything out of my exhange
account inbox into the inbox on my computer, I keep receiving notices
from our exchange server saying I'm exceeding my space limit.

Trying to figure this out, I just noticed that the the mail in "folders
on my computer" shows the status icon for being on the server. I've
tried to click on the icon and choose from the pop-down, "Delete from
Server at next connection", but nothing happens. I've tried moving
these into my inbox again, and even moving them out and back in, but
nothing changes.

Any clues?
