mail in the sent file is being deleted automatically

Mail in the sent file is being deleted permanently. Had my computer four
weeks with McAffee security. Happened twice in the last 4 days. Scans
indicate no viruses etc.

Are you sure that you just haven't got a view applied to the folder?

Mail disappeared over a week ago, then again two nights ago. There is no
record of it being deleted.
