mail lost after pst reparation

I got a problem with my pst file after a 'not clean' exit of win98.
I could repare it with scanpst.exe, after a reparation with cleanmanger
(clean disk). I think I might lost some information of the pst file there?

But since then,
all my incoming mails are getting lost.
I see them passing through my virus scanner (norton antivirus 2003) and
afther that, completely lost.
I now created a new profile with an own pst account, but i've lost some
20 mails that I want to recover.

Anyone an idea?
