Mail Merge/Palm

Our office needs to do a mail merge regularly to groups to
whom we communicate by home phone, hence we'd like to
print it on the letter. Unfortunately, Home Phone is not
available to the merge. (!?) Home 2, is, however, but
using it complicates syncing to Palm devices. So, we've
been forced to double-entry the number in both fields.

Does anyone have a workaround?

I see both. Are you starting the merge from Outlook using its Tools | Mail
Merge command after you select contacts? YOu'll get best results that way.
