Mail Merge using Home Addresses

B

Buzzmaster

I am a Mac novice. I am using Entourage from Office v X to execute a
mail merge in Word. I have the merge configured, but no addresses are
showing on my envelope preview. I have all of my addresses as home
addresses and it appears that the merge is using fields from the
Business adress form. How can I complete my mail merge with home
addresses.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Instead of using the address book directly as the data source for the merge,
export the contacts to a tab-delimited text file first, and use that for the
data source. Then, all the address book fields will be available to you.

Unfortunately the categories won't, though, so you won't be able to do a
Query by category. If that matters to you, you could get my shareware
Export-Import Entourage X scripts at

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

and run Contacts-Groups Export from X script to export Contacts by Category
(or export the selected contacts) or by various other filters. Then do the
merge using the resulting tab-delimited text file as your data source. All
fields will be available, including Home Address fields (actually separately
as Home Street, Home City, Home State, Home Zip, and Home Country).
