Mail to Group problem

Hello
I am sending messages to groups containing several addresses. I check
the "don't show addresses when sending to group" box. My own address is
not included in the group. Yet people who receive my mail see in the
To: field either "Group name" followed by <my e-mail address>
(Entourage users) or just "my name" and <my e-mail address> (PC Outlook
users). Why is my address there? Is there any way to avoid this and
have just "Group name" displayed?
Thanks
George

The writers of Entourage believed that the RFCs do not permit 'bcc only'
emails, so you are required to have at least one address in the 'to' line.
Other people reading those same RFCs come to a different conclusion and
believe that BCC-only emails are allowed, so their mail clients permit it.

Thanks Barry. The strange thing is that although my address appears in
the To: field of the message everyone receives, this same message is
not sent to my address. So Enourage is not puting my address in the To:
field of the outgoing message, as you suggest, it just displays it in
the received messages.

Yes, that is quite possible. What is displayed in the headers need not bear
any relationship to the actual delivery information - a fact that is
frequently exploited by the spammers!
