Mail to large groups not sending

G

Gerald Berkowitz

I have a number of large groups of addresses I send mail to abut 200 names
for a class I teach.

When I try to send to this group, it will not send not even to the good
addresses. I understand that some addresses may be bad but will that stop
all the others form being sent?

My mail box has a limit of 500 recipients set and the Exchange server
globally has no restrictions set.

Thank you,
Gerald Berkowitz

Actually it is another teacher here and I do not know if he is. What should
he be doing and why would that make a difference?

What version of Entourage? Entourage 2004 was bad about stopping if it hit
one bad address. Entourage 2008 deals with this better.

A workaround is to click "sort list" button in group editing window.
This will get rid of the blank contact.

One user reported:
Found the issue. When editing the group, when you click on the open space
below, it adds a blank line for you to enter a new address. If you close out
of the window directly, it leaves that blank address. To get rid of the
extra line you either have to select it and hit delete, or select another
contact.
For some reason, if you leave a blank contact in your list, it stops the bcc
from going out to anyone on the list.

Hope this helps!
