Mail

After months of being prompted to update my OfficeMac 2004, on my iMac, I
gave in. I must have selected the wrong button about saving Passwords and
keychains because, when attempting to open my mail, I am now told to enter
them. My computers were set up to skip the password and keychain and I have
no idea what they are. I can receive and send mail on my MacBook Pro. How do
I find out what my keychain and passwords are on my iMac?

Open each Account under Tools in the Menu bar. Enter the password and select
save. Your keychain can be accessed through Keychain Access application in
Utilities if needed. You might need to run keychain first aid under Keychain
Assess in the Menu bar.

"/Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app"

If you've forgotten your passwords for your accounts then you can find
them in your keychain.

Open the Keychain Access utility found in /Applications/Utilities and
look for the names of your mail servers that you see in your Entourage
accounts' settings. For example, if one of your accounts is a Gmail
account then look for "pop.gmail.com" or "imap.gmail.com".

Double-click the entry in Keychain Access. You'll see the option to
display your saved password.

Hope this helps!
