"Mailbox is at 92% of quota"

Lately, every 30 seconds or so, as I am using Entourage, I get an error
message popup with the following text:

"Mailbox is at 92% of quota

This message contains account information that you may need to act on.
This is not an error message. For example, if your mailbox is full,
you may need to delete or archive some messages."

Has anyone seen this? I find it somewhat confusing that there might be
a mailbox limit in Entourage - shouldn't I be able to store as much
email as my computer's memory will allow?

Could this have something to do with my .mac online email account being
full?

Finally, although the error message suggests there should be, there
doesn't seem to be a way to archive messages in Entourage. Am I just
missing it?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

Thanks Barry. So in other words, I could prevent this from reoccuring
by filing messages in folders i create on the "on my computer" level,
as opposed to folder i've created under my .mac IMAP account? Is that
right?

Then are you saying that the server treats messages I move to the "on
my computer" level as moved to the deleted items folder, so i'll have
to go into imap account once in a while and delete these items?

Thanks again.

That's correct, provided that you delete them from the IMAP server at that
time.

Dragging messages from an IMAP account folder to a folder on your computer
generally copies them rather than moving them. To move them (thus deleting
the copy on the IMAP server), you need to use the "Move" toolbar button or
the "Move To" option from the "Message" menu.

You still should check your Deleted Items folder on the IMAP server and
delete unneeded messages. Whether you need to or not depends on your
deletion settings for the IMAP account.
