mailbox lock issues..

Hi again,

On another issue.. on one account I get a LOT of "mailbox lock lost"
error messages with all kind of different error numbers and then I have
to hit send and receive to get the messages to all load in.. Anybody
know what causes "mailbox lock lost" messages and maybe even how to fix
the problem..

Thanks, I had forgotten to mention that I had tried turning off the
feature... But could it just be a dialup connection? I've noticed with
my dsl connection this problem does not occur...

Unfortunately, this option does not seem to have any effect on the problem,
which as far as I can tell only affects Entourage IMAP. Exact same mailbox
viewed through IMAP with Thunderbird, Apple Mail, or MS Outlook works just
fine. Annoying that this bug wasn't fixed in Office 2004.

See my other open thread in this forum on this topic. I'm an admin for a
small web host with quite a few Entourage-using customers dealing with this
issue; after years of recommending Entourage to Mac customers, I'm now
suggesting that they use Thunderbird instead. :(

Hi Scot and Mickey,

As I mentioned in my previous post my problem (almost) goes away when I
use Entourage and a broadband connection for the same account... Maybe
this info can help Microsoft if they want to run the bug down.
