I am using Entourage 2004 newest build with exchange 2000

My Entourage database was defect so i rebuilt it using the database manager.
All of my subfolders and mails where gone after rebuilding the database.

Problems arose after syncing with exchange again.
- there is only one hirarchy of subfolders showing up
- all subfolders are empty
- most of my mails are in my Inbox
- huge numbers of mail appear to be new

All of my subfolders show up properly in OWA

I have a backup of the corrupt db.
my DB is about 900mb so its not too big < 4gb

Im at loss what to do next.
its a disaster if I loose my folder hirarchy, what do I have to do that my
clients resyncs properly or how do i fix my broken database ?

thanks a lot for your Help

Exchange messages are only cached locally.
When rebuilding the database, the cache is trashed adn Entourage has to
re-download everything from the Exchange server.
Depending how much data you have on the server, this "first" sync can
take a very long time to complete.

If it's exclusively on Exchange, that could represent a lot of data to
re-download.

I would wait for a loooonnnggg time to give Entourage a chance to catch
up.

Thanks for you Answer

I waited until Entourage finnished syncing.
It took about 2 hours I think
the Size of the new Database was about 600Mb which seemed OK to me. I
guess the Database grew bigger overtime because of deleted messages and
so on.

My point is.
All mails which used to be spread over a big folder hirarchy are now in
the
INBOX.
So a mail which used to be in a subfolder is now in the inbox. Thats
why I dont think its a problem with not letting it finnish syncing. The
mails are there but in the wrong folder

the folder hirarchy isnt even created. only one level of folders. and
they are all empty.

Do you see the folder hierarchy in the OWA server??
