Main Window Mail View

this is a basic question. but i'm stumped.

does anyone know how to set up the main window in v.X to view mail
messages? right now, i have to open the email message in a new window.

i just made it go away this morning and can't figure out how to make it
come back.

Do you mean the Preview Pane?

It's under the View menu.
