Make 1st column stay put while side scrolling...

I hope I can explain what I'm trying to do:

I have column A fille with a list of products and
successive columns with various data regarding those
products.

I want to make column A always present on the left side
of the page as I scroll to the right thought the data.

Clear as mud?

- move the cursor in cell B1
- goto 'Windows - Freeze Panes'

you can either split the window or freeze the pane - both are unde
window on the menu
