Making a sound clip

is there a program I can download so I can pull out only a portion of a song to add to a slide? I tried audacity and it worked once but now the cut and other buttons are grey. My problem is, I dont want to start at the beg of some of the songs I want to use. THANKS! I am using pwrpt 2000.

Use google to search for sound editor. You'll find loads of possibilities.
