something like this:
xxxxx xxxxx
xxxxx xxxxx
xxx xxx xxx

Thanks!!!

Make two separate tables one with two columns one with 3, is one way...then
group them together.

thanks but I can't make it work.

the two tables won't line up. huh... I mean the lines for the tables
will overlap. The middle of the "box" will have double line. If I make
the lines thiner, the vertical lines will not reach/touch the horizontal
lines on the other table.

arhhhh!!!! I have been trying this all day!!! hahaha!!!
finished venting!!! sorry.

Ruler guides will help...

I can't make it to line up either. It is always snapping to 1/32" gap.
So, the tables will either overlap or not touching... with or without
a guide...

Aha!!! I know!!! If I remove the bottom border from one table...
then... don't know if this will work... let me try...

I usually work with Snaps off because it drives me nuts. Arrange | Snaps
Also work with a large View for this stuff.
Use, Format Table to set the table sizes exactly and you should be in
bidness.
