Making Tasks Public

I wish to create a log of all activities going on in a certain small
business group. I believe that having a public Task folder is the
solution, however I want to make all task items public so that everyone
can alter a task after it has been posted, even if they are not the
owner. How do i do this, or is there a better way to solve my problem?

If you use Exchange server, a public tasks folder is indeed what you want.
Just set the permissions on it as you wish, such as "editor" - best to apply
permissions to a group in the GAL rather than to individual users if
possible.
