Map Indicator

Hello, here is a question for you guys ... I have a link
on the left side and I have a map on the right side. Just
want to know if there is a way for me .. when I point to
the link (before clicking on it), it will have some type
of indication (little red circle, or something) to show
where exactly is on the map. Does anyone know if I can do
something like that in FP?

Please advise

You can do this using Javascript. You'd create a map for each location, then
use the ONMOUSEOVER event to display the corresponding image when the user
hovers over each link. Do a search for javascript rollovers and you'll find
lots of examples. THe only difference is that a rollover changes the link's
own image whereas you will want to change a different image.

Hello.. seems like I can do that in frontpage too. By
going to Format --> behaviors --> insert --> swap image.
However, does that work on both Netscape and IE ??

But the thing for that I have to do it for the whole
picture .. But I just want to do part of it. Do you know
if I can in FP?

Ok seems like I can insert a layer on the part I want,
then do onmouseover ... however how am I sync the link on
the right with that part of the map to work together.

You want to change just the dot, right? I think you can do this by
overlaying a transparent GIF with the dot over the map. It would use
Javascript so your could do it in FP although it would not be a FP feature
per se.

Hello.. what do you mean by "dot"... let me restate my
question ... I have a map with different builings, I want
the buildings pop up or something to indicate when the
visitor point to the the name of the builing on the right
side. Seems like I can work around in FP with the whole
map but I want that to be just part of the map since
there are like 10 different buildings on the map

Please advise.. Thanks a Ton !
