margin trouble

Christine

I have created a 3 fold brochure in Publisher. I am
having trouble with the text on the right side of the
brochure being cut off when printed. When I view it, the
text is well within the boundary guidelines. It happens
in the same spot on page 1 and 2, the right margin. The
rest of the brochure is fine. It seems if I were able to
adjust the margins for this section, that may help, but I
don't even see that I have the option to do that.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Christine the boundry guidelines (Layout Guides) in Publisher having nothing
to do with the printing area. You can adjust the Layout Guides under menu
Arrange > Layout Guides.

What is causing your issue is the limits of the printing area on the bottom
margin of your printer. The bottom margin on many ink jet printers
especially HP is 16mm. On the better brand of inkjet printers like Canon
and Epson the bottom margin is 6mm to 8mm.

If you take a blank page and put two diagonal lines off the corner of the
page, and print that, it will show you the limits of the print area of your
printer.
Also check the printer driver if there are any options to increase the print
area.

If you really want to overcome this and only have a few to do, you can print
the first two panels, then group the third panel and rotate it 180° and
place it in the left hand panel so it will be the first to print. Then pop
the page that you have printed the first two panels back in and print the
third panel.

The bottom margin and every other margin depends on the model of printer.
Many of HP's cheapest models now have full bleed printing.

Or you could look at http://www.mvps.org/the_nerd/Publisher/horidiag.htm for
some detailed and accurate instructions.
