Mass email to category contacts

Is there a way to send an email to every contact in a particular category?

I had wanted to avoid that extra step of creating a group and then having to manage the group as well as manage the category.

If you're asking me how I would like Entourage to work, one of two ways. 1) When creating an email, when choosing who to send it to, a choice of category.
2) That there be a way to display only contacts within a certain category in the address book, and then to send an email to all displayed contacts.

It's not that hard to create a group from an existing category (although you
will have to manage them separately). Create a new group, open an address
book window, select the category in the address book, and drag all the
entries to the group window.

This is reasonable if the category doesn't change often. If it does, then I
think you're stuck.

You can request this feature using the "Send Feedback ..." command on the
Help menu.
