Maximum number of contacts in distribution list

Hi All

We are trying to create a large distribution list (1800
members) and Outlook keeps stating we have reached the
maximum at about 200-250.

Does anyone know if this is a settings issue or a
limitation of Microsoft Exchange server 2000 standard
edition?

Yes, there is a maximum and you've reached it. IMO, a DL that large would be very difficult to keep updated. Might be better just to use a separate public folder and build the DL on the fly. Or, keep it in the GAL. See http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/dl.htm
