Maximum number of pages?

Having used Word in an effort to create a products catalogue, I got bitterly
dissapointed as the document crashed with no possibility to repair it after
about 25 pages consisting of pictures and text. Because I'm now a little
nervous about getting started with the project in Publisher, my question is,
how many pages in an average products catalogue, where nearly every page
contains productpictures and textblocks, does Publisher support without
crashing?

Publisher is supposed to be the good desktop program for this, or?

Could a catalogue with say, maybe 100 to 120 pages be a problem in any way?

Like to much pictures, too many objects, so that the Catalogue document file
gets corrupted even in Publisher? Well I'm new with Publishre so I would very
much appreciate some comforting words about this. And my catalogue has to be
ready for the fair in september (Puh...)

Thanks!

You can have as many pages as needed. Your computer memory is a factor. What
version Publisher are you using?
A file can be 2 GB.
You have the option of having no pictures, low resolution pictures or detailed
pictures on your screen (it doesn't affect the printing). This is helpful with
large publications.
Save often...
Another idea is to make sure you are using the most current video driver.

Thank You! I have purchased an OEM with Publisher 2003 SP2, so the version
should be pretty update. Forgive my persistance, but could you tell me where
within the programme I set the viewing resolution? Another question that has
risen within the first test pages is where to set the document so that it
prints my catalogue as a continous duplexed A4-document? I do have a HP
duplex lasercolor printer so that part is ok.

I hope these are not to many questions from a beginner?

Thanks again.

The duplex option would be in the printer setup. If it is anything like my
printer, it will have a "print on both sides" check-off.

As for the display for the pictures, View, pictures.

Thankyou. I will take some time to get to know the software. I'm probably
running too fast with expecting results from my actions (as usual) :)
