MDAC 2.82 on SBS2003 and 2.81 on WinXP

I had problems with connection between Project Prof 2003 and Project
Sever 2003. I figure out wat was the issue. Version of MDAC. On SBS
2003 there is MDAC 2.82 and on XP 2.81. How can make it works? I tried
install 2.80 on XP and on SBS but system is not allowing me to do this.
