Media Player Object problem

Since I upgraded to Media Player 9 I can see my media clip object when I put
it into the slide in the editor but the slide displays without the object --
blank! Is this because of the later version and is there a workaround?

Nope. I have been using WMP 9 media player object for over a year in PPT
2002.
