Meeting request - cannot accept response

Hi
We have a intel MAC on Leopard, using Entoruage 2008 via Exchange 2003 SP2.

We can send meeting requests, but other users get a NDR saying the original
email mailbox does not exist when replying/accepting.

I ahve re-installed, taken off latest patch and tried everything.

All other parts of meetings seem to work.

Any ideas? TIA

Does this only happen with Entourage or does it happen if you use
Apple's Mail or Outlook for Windows?

Hi
This only happens when meeting is sent out from Entourage 2008. Meeting
requests from our Outlook 2007 all work A OK.
Thanks

Hi Will
Yes, it is the primary SMTP address. (However as this guy has a really long
name it is not the same as the account name.)
Thanks

I don't *think* that should make a difference. My work account looks like:

Account name: wsmith
E-mail address: [email protected]

Is this similar to what your user has?

You said earlier that this problem does not happen with Outlook
connected to the same account. Can you compare the source of the
received invitations in both applications and compare them? I doubt they
will look identical but I'd be curious to know if you see differences in
server addresses, mail addresses or something else.

Is the user possibly working between two different Windows NetBios
domains? Is he in one domain and sending to folks in another domain
within the company?

Hi Will

U/n is Konstantinos.Antonopoulos. However for MAC login it is Konstantino
Antono (NetbIOS limitation).
His email is just [email protected]#

I will get back to you on any diofferences between meeting request from
Outlook or Office 2008.

Thanks

Hi Will

Sonehow I cannot get the source stuff from an invite.

However invite sent from Entourage says in from field:
Konstantinos Antonopoulos on behalf of [email protected]

Invite from Outlook says from:
Konstantinos Antonopoulos

Not sure what the subtle difference is

Thanks

This leads me to believe that your Exchange Server believes
"Konstantinos Antonopoulos" and "[email protected]" are two
different people.

Do two similarly named accounts exist? Is Delegation being used by
either of these accounts?

Hi Will

No, only the one account exists (and so no delegation.)
It does have a pre-Windows 2000 logon name which is probably used to log
into the MAC. (He has many emails addresses set up under this account.)
Maybe I'll try to shorten his account name and try and use it consistently
Thanks
