Menu software... recomendation needed

Hi experts,

I've been using PowerPoint to create an autostart menu for a CD-ROM.
Most of you are familiar with the resulting problems (macro virus
warning etc.).

Can you recommend a better software (preferably freeware) for creating
autostart menus to launch applications and files with?

Thanks!

You can use the PowerPoint Viewer to show the slide show. It won't have the
macro virus warning since it doesn't support macros.

See http://www.echosvoice.com/ for do-it-yourself instructions and
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/acdpc_instructions.htm for
an application for creating an autorun CD that includes the Viewer so that
the presentation will run automatically without installing anything to the
user's harddrive.

Hi Chirag,

I'm afraid that doesn't work... at least not that I know of.
If you link to an application from PPT and run the PPT with the
viewer, you will get a macro warning (unless you have deactivated the
security option in PowerPoit itself). I know of no way to prevent this
warning. Of couse it also happens if you create a self-starting CD
with the viewer included.

Cheers,
Rene
