Merging Entourage 2004 Calendars?

S

Sean Smith

Hi!

I've got a question from a user about merging Entourage calendars. He
wants to copy all appointments from his calendar on the Exchange server
to the calendar that is on his computer and automatically copy any new
appointments from his Exchange calendar to the calendar on his
computer. I tried using Paul Berkowitz's Merge Calendar script, but I
keep getting "Calendar not found" errors.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

How about writing me privately, as I requested specifically in the post that
notified that script? Isn't that an idea you considered? As I said then,
please use this email address <berkowit28 @ mac.com> removing the spaces.

Quite a few people have used the script successfully by now, so there must
be something special or unusual about your user's use of it. (Does your user
pay you for this help, by the way?) Try running the PREFS script again, then
the main script without adding or removing any calendars in the meantime.
I'll need to ask about the specific details (which calendars, what type of
calendar they all are, etc.)

My guess would be that a Public Folder calendar might be involved. Is it?
Make sure that it is Added to Favorites such that it also appears in the
Calendar area. Even so, there might be some special circumstance to do with
public folder calendars. Or there might be something to do with delegated or
shared calendars which I haven't been able to test so far.

The reason I wrote the script is that there is no other way to do this,
short of manually dragging individual events from one calendar to another.
So you won't get too many other "ideas" here.
