Message Count display on Login Screen

Hi everyone.

I am running Windows XP, and upgraded to Office 2007 a month or two ago.
Since then, at the login screen (list of users) after my name the number of
unread messages that I have frequently appears. This number is never correct.

I would like to turn this notification off, but have been unable to find
anywhere in the user setup or Outlook options to set it on or off.

Can anyone tell me how to change this setting, or if it can even be changed?
It is hardly a major problem, just a minor annoyance.

Thanks
