Message pane List-View collapsible date dividers/ organizers?

All of a sudden these dividers have disappeared, and I have no idea how to get them back. I must be a total idiot, to be sure... but I have grown fond of these from both an aesthetic and practical point if view. Any input on how to get them back?

Specifically, I am referring to the multiple collapsible headers that would be inline in the message list pane with the headings "today", "yesterday" "2 weeks ago" "last month" and "older" (or something to that effect).

Truth be told, I do not know the technical name for these which is also making finding a solution more difficult!

Thanks! -Jonathan.
