Adam, I just noticed that this is for "Read" receipts, which I already have
set up. Is there a separate header for "Delivered" receipts?
Steve
There was a thread several month ago about return receipts why Entorage
you couldn't send receipts or read them.
I as given the answer that MS chose not to support return receipts.
at that time I thought it was odd since every other major email Client
Eudora, Mozilla, Thundebird and even Safari can support sending and
receiving return receipts.
I have a few people I send to and wish to make sure that they receive
and read a post. A fellow sends items to me with return receipts
requested and I acknowledge them and send back the receipt.
A fellow came up witha script (which I hate using because it addes
insequirty to an already unsecure program) which I installe that allow
be to send return receipts through entourage. I still find it a bizarre
that a major company would ignore a major standard as return receipts.
I've read from some people that if they receive an email with return
receipt request attched they would be willing to send hate mail. I find
that bizzare as well.
The intended purpose of return receipt request is to ask the receiver
basically : "hey this is important enough I think you should read it.
Please let me know you at least openned it up". Without actually syaing
as much.
