Message rules and anti-spam

Hope someone can help.

I use Outlook Express and have noticed that under the Message heading there
is a section for Creating Rules for incoming mail. I have set up various
rules but it doesn't seem to work. I thought I'd set the rules up whereby
incoming mail with certain words in the Subject would be moved to my deleted
file. But it doesn't seem to work. Is this function workable in Outlook
Express? I unfortunately used my real email address on a MS usergroup and
have been bombarded with spam (MS updates out the ying-yang)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ask your question in an Outlook Express newsgroup. This one is for Outlook,
a completely different program.
