Messages going to 2 inboxes

Good Morning,

I am Desktop Administrator in a Library system where we have 1
individual using MS Entourage. I was wondering if anyone has seen an
issue where the user is receiving messages to an offline inbox and an
online inbox. I've done a little searching on the web for this as wel.
One blog suggests that rules are setup. I will have to double check
that on the pc, even though the user is saying that they don't use any
rules of any kind.

I was wondering if anyone had any sort of suggestions of things that
would give me some ideas of some other things to look at or check in
case the user is correct and there are no rules turned on.

I'm not very familiar with MS Entourage, but we do use MS Exchange
Server in our environment to include webmail. All other users use MS
Outlook 2003.

Thank you for any helpful suggestions that you may have.

Mike

Yep, it's unfrotunately rather frequent.
When you rebuild a database (or if rules become corrupted) Rules are
messed up and lose track of the desired destination. The messages
sometimes end-u being eoither moved or copied to an offline directory.

Check the Rules and Mailling list managers.

Thank you Corentin for yoru reply to my posting. I'll have a look at
the next chance I get at it and see if I can find any Rules setup.
Are there any other possibilities for causes of this if I don't manage
to find anything there other than a rebuilt database? What would you
or anyone familiar with this application recommend as far as a
goodsolution to this, if there is one?

A little history on this: I'm a Desktop Administrator (not new to IT,
but new to the Libraries in general so there's been some adapting) in
a Library system and we only have 1 user that uses Entourage.

Thank you,

Well I don't remember seing any situation where these deletions or
duplications woudl occur and it wasn't related to a rule or mailing list
manager issue. A lot of people have firts claimed that it wasn't a rule
though (and later posted that they had overlooked one of forgot to check
the Mailing List Manager :-> ).

The main problem is that rebuilding the entourage database sometimes
confuses the rules. Especially with Exchange accounts where Entourage
simply trashes the Exchange cache at rebuild to re-download everything
from the server. The folders go missing until the data is redownloaded
and the rules get re-assigned to randmo locations.

Well I hope you'll find a solution soon :)
