Messages permanently deleted

In the past, if I deleted a message, it would go into the Deleted Messages
folder, now it gets permanently deleted right away. Does anyone know how I
can fix this?

It sounds to me as though, somehow, you've got a schedule set to empty the
Deleted Items folder too quickly. Check your schedules and see if Empty
Deleted Items Folder is active, and if so, what the time frame is for its
running.
