Messaging Interface Error

When I try to delete a message from my inbox, I get the
following error message "The messaging interface has
returned an onknown error. If the problem persists,
restart Outlook."

I have restarted Outlook a number of times, with no
result. My Deleted folder is empty.

All help will be greatly appreciated.
