Hi Casey,
Please try to start Outlook in Safe Mode. Safe Mode will disable all
add-ins or extensions that will not start, or a corrupted resource, file,
registry, or templates.
- Close Outlook.
- Click Start-->Run, type "Outlook /Safe" (Quotation marks are not included
and
there is a space between Outlook and /safe) and press Enter.
If the problem does not occur at this time, then please select Tools ->
Options ->
Other -> Advanced Options -> Add-In Manager and then clear all the
checkboxes, add
one check back each time to the list of Add-In, restart Outlook, and repeat
the
above procedure. Once the issue reappears again, we can determine which
add-in
causes this problem and then disable it.
Step 2: Create a new profile
=====================
If the suggestion above doesn't resolve the issue, I suspect the current
profile of
Outlook 2003 has been corrupted. Please perform the following steps to
create a new
profile:
1. Close Outlook.
2. Click Start, and click Control Panel.
3. Click Mail or "Mail and Fax" icon.
4. Click Show Profiles.
5. Click Prompt for a profile to be used and click Apply.
6. Click Add and type "test" in the Profile name box. Note: Please don't
choose the
same name of your original profile.
7. Choose Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
8. Choose your email type and type the necessary information.
9. Click Next and click Finish.
10. Click Finish to exit.
11. Reopen Outlook.
12. Choose the new profile in the profile list and click OK.
