Methods to track software sold ?

I'm looking for some suggestions on how to put a control
or something within a website hosted on a remote IIS machine
and I have the methods in place to send data to a remote
machine using TCP or UDP in place.

I've stumped myself in trying to get remote DLL's installed.

So I'm looking for suggestions on perhaps taking another
route. I know this really isn't a FrontPage issue, but perhaps
there's something I've overlooked within FrontPage. The
end result is the software that's developed will contact
a web-site via TCP or UDP and send and recieve info about
the registration of the product. So I just need to figure out
some way to either through IIS, or FrontPage.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
