Microsoft Entourage and Palm Synchronization

From my searching of this newsgroup and the various information sites
on the web, the current HotSync conduit supplied with Entourage is not
very useful if you have a recent Palm handheld (like the Treo 650).

Information also suggests that Microsoft wants to make Entourage
compatible with Apple's mac sync services, but bugs in the
implementation on Apple's side have prevented this update from making it
into Office 2004 SP2.

My question is that since the issues with sync services have been fixed
in Mac OS 10.4.3, and that seeds of the update have been going out to
developers for over six weeks, is there an estimated time frame for when
we can expect to see a new sync solution for Entourage?

Thanks,

Jeff, you might be interested to know that despite a few shortcomings, the
Entourage conduits work acceptably well for the Treo 650 with both Palm Sync
and the third party application called Missing Sync; I've used all three.

Indeed, several Entourage fields don't map correctly (or at all), but the
basics of Calendar, Address Book, Contacts and Tasks work well enough (at
least outside of an Exchange Server environment) that there's no need to
wait for the perfect fix before proceeding.

Just my 2¢.

My biggest concern is the lack of multiple addresses synchronization...
I work in an environment where people can have two or three offices and
a home address that I may want to record. While the Treo limits me to
three of the addresses (as does Outlook), it's nice to have all of them
there.

After thinking about it some, I suppose I can script Entourage to
convert all three addresses into the notes field, that (hopefully) would
sync with the Treo.

Still, that's a stop-gap solution and having Entourage work with sync
services would be a major feature for me. Any idea on a release date?
