Microsoft Front Page Versions (98/2000) and System Requirements

TomCee

Hello:

I am rather new to the FrontPage system and will be purchasing an
'old' copy of either FrontPage98 or 2000. Can someone fill me in on
the system requirements and relative performance of these versions. I
assume either will operate under Win98SE which is my current OS.

(Please, no lectures on upgrading my OS; I will soon, but need this
tool now/temporarily.)

Thanks in advance for your helpful advice,
Tom

Take the newest version you can run. This excludes FP2003 as it doesn't
run on WIN98.
I would recommend FP2002.

I would avoid FP98. This version requires a web server, which can be
troublesome on Win98. If you upgrade your OS to WindowsXP Home, the
webserver will not run, and FP98 becomes difficult to use.

If you can find it, go with FP2002.
