Microsoft Office products for the military

I heard that military members, especially ones like me returning from Iraq,
may be able to purchase Microsoft Office products at a discount. Please
email me back information about this, because right now all I know is a rumor.

Hi, smyleeface2,

You'll want to contact Microsoft directly about this. You've posted this
message in a peer support forum.

You can apparently take Office Specialist Certification exams using VA
education benefits:

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/officespecialist/reimbursement.asp

or get vouchers through the Voucher Initiative:

http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2004/dec04/12-07TestVoucherPR.mspx

But you'll want to talk to a licensing specialist at Microsoft to find out
about licensing issues. You can call 1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday,
6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific time) and ask to speak directly to a
Microsoft licensing specialist. Worldwide customers can use the Guide to
Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites to find contact information in their
locations.

I've called them and have had good luck speaking with a real person for
free.
