Microsoft Office/Student 2007--Power Point problem

My daughter recently used PowerPoint to create a presentation and is now
trying to create a new one and is unable to edit the slides. Does anyone
know why this is happening? Everything is "grayed out". She cannot edit
anything. She didn't have any issues with the first presentation. I hope
someone can help.

Did she mark her presentation as "final"? A tiny symbol in the status bar
will show this.
