micupdate.exe download missing

Issue: The Clip Gallery could not find the GIF graphic
filter installed. You can install graphics filters by
running Setup for Microsoft applications again.

There was a fix for this, but it appears to have vanished.
It was called micupdat.exe and the link from the article
is dead.

I have searched MS and the Internet for this file with no
success. If anyone knows where I can get a copy of this
fix or have a suggestion for fixing the problem please
advise. For the record - reinstalling does not work.

Do you have any Office Applications other than Publisher? The .gif filter will be in
a folder similar to this: c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt
The file is called GIFIMP32.FLT. You maybe could name it gifimp32.old and drag a new
instance of it from your setup disk.

For future reference and thank you to Mary - I copied the
file from a PC I knew was running Publisher without issue
to the PC with a problem. It worked brilliantly.
