How are you trying to make the midi file play?

For example, do you want it to play when the page loads,
or when the visitor clicks a hyperlink, or clicks a
button, or what?

And how are you tryng to make that happen?

Can you provide a URL?

you should load it into some kind of player that you assume your users will
have on their machine, or you can do the stop/start arrangement with flash.

although I've never looked for one that did this you may be able to find a
JavaScript that will provide the stop/start buttons etc.

Well then, try Insert, Web Component, Advanced, Plug-In.
