Migrating from Apple Mail to Entourage 2004

I just installed Office:mac 2004 and everything worked except the migration
of my Apple Mail folders to Entourge. I tried Import and import imports
nothing. I finally figured out that I could migrate my address book by
exporting the address book to a vcard file and then pasting that into
Entourages address book. I've gone to the Microsoft Mac support site but
EVERY SINGLE LINK to an Entourage article is BROKEN. The Entourage
readme file says that Entourage cannot import Mail rules, move messages to
IMAP account folders or import Exchange accounts. My email is a simple
pop3 service I should be able to import it? Right?

Oh, and how do I set Entourage to be the system wide default email
program so that when I use Send To in Word, Excel, Safari, etc. Entourage is
called instead of Apple Mail?

Thanks in advance to all who take the time and trouble to reply

You can in fact change the deafault setting from within Apple Mail. Chose
Preferences from the Mail menu and choose the General settings. There you
will find a pop-up menu where you can change the default mail program.

Bo,

Thanks for the reply. I was looking in System Preferences and
Entourage. Never thought to look in Apple Mail. But there it was. And,
it kinda works. Word, Excel, Explorer and PowerPoint now call up
Entourage when I want to mail something. However, Safari still is
calling Apple Mail. At least I'm closer. Thanks again for the reply.
