Mind of its own

Often when I'm in Word (Office 2003), apparently my computer feels the need
to type. A couple of times I've just sat back and watched my computer type
away (some of which were coherent sentences). I have much the same problem
with Excel although my computer has never actually typed anything - It's
tried to open a new file, send my cursor down to the last row allowable, etc.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on???? I do not have any speech
recognition software nor do I even have a microphone on my computer. I have
a Dell Latitude D800 with docking station and it's my work computer. HELP!!

Do you have a wireless keyboard? Could you be "seeing" another
keyboards typing? Do you have a microphone? Might speech to text be
running?

Well Well Well. It seems that IT did in fact install a speech recognition
option within Office 2003. I still don't understand how the thing was
picking up sounds though. I didn't think the D800 had a mic on it, but
any-hoo, somehow the thing was picking up sounds in my office.

A little disconcerting, eh.. it didn't happen to me when installing 2003
because I had learned by then, but with previous versions?.. hahahaha.. I am
not a good typist by any means, but no way do I type garbage either (open to
conjecture, I know).. :)
