Missing bullets and other strange things

Greetings!
So, I am using PowerPoint XP on a Windows XP Pentium 4 3.6 gig laptop, and I
am running into some strange problems. Bullets will dissapear, chart heading
will dissapear, certain text boxes will vanish. I'm stumped. Do you think a
re-install of Office XP is need or is it an operating system issue?
Any advice would be greatly appreaciated.

Do you have the latest updates? Click on Help, Check for Updates.

If not that, click on Help, Detect and Repair.
