Missing email addresses

A significnat number of email addresses and notes information have been
stripped out of my contacts. Can anyone tell why this is happening. I am
still suing Outlook 2000

Not without any information, and you posted none. If you are asking whether
Outlook does this all by itself for no reason, that answer is no. The end
use is part of this process.
I don't think suing Outlook will help.
